Whoreticulture is an immersive event that explores the reimagining of feminized nature, centered around artist Rita Rui Ting Wang's provocative concept of "nature as mother vs. nature as whore." The evening features The Whoreticulture Archive, an interactive art installation that invites participants to rethink traditional perceptions of nature and femininity. Alongside this, guests will indulge in theme-inspired bites curated by Kate Ray and custom drinks crafted by Kings Distillery. Entertainment includes music from DJ A²Z, comedic hosting by Carrie Hawks, personalized Tarot readings, and a preview of an exciting new live performance.
A live auction of unique items and experiences will raise funds to support The School of Making Thinking (SMT), a nonprofit supported by Matthew PEARSON (ACC 2019) as Secretary and Board member. Through social Field Work experiments designed to foster interaction and creative thinking, Whoreticulture promises an evening of intellectual exploration, sensory delight, and deep engagement with a vibrant artistic community.
