The selection of Koichiro Kurita's (ACC 1990) photographs on exhibition presents nature as the artist sees it in terms of Chi Sui Ki, or terrasphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, and the borders that each of these realms share with one another and all forms of life.

Noir & Blanc, une esthétique de la photographie

October 17, 2023 - January 21, 2024

"Black and White: The Aesthetics of Photography," from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, is one of the richest collections of its kind in the world. This retrospective exhibition covering the history of black and white photography features photographs by Koichiro Kurita (ACC 1990).

Poisonous Weeds

May 19, 2023 - July 02, 2023

Join Lisa Ross (ACC 2016) for their solo photo-based exhibition, Poisonous Weeds, which explores a series of defaced propaganda murals created during the Cultural Revolution in China. Ross reinterprets these murals through manipulation of color, hue, and contrast to evoke distressed textures and saturated pigments to construct feelings of triumph, defeat, dissolution, and change.

40 Years of Chinese Photography

December 24, 2022 - May 18, 2023

ACC Alumni Xing Danwen (ACC 1998) along with other photographers join "40 Years of Chinese Photography" in displaying her iconic photographs to invite viewers in re-examining how photography has changed the history and ideas of China, the world, and all of humanity at Kulangsu- a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
