Simple Interactions. Sound Art from Japan

Sound art is a blossoming art form in Denmark, and the influence of the Japanese sound art scene is significant. On the whole, sound is a global target area, where Japan has asserted itself strongly both in art, design and industry.  Therefore, the Museum of Contemporary Art has invited to our country a group of Japanese sound artists to contribute to the exhibition Simple Interactions. Sound Art from Japan, which will be the largest overall presentation in Denmark of sound art from Japan up to now.

The exhibition Simple Interactions. Sound Art from Japan presents works by 9 Japanese artists. The exhibition mixes installations, performances and documentations, all of which examine how simple interactions can create complex systems and patterns.

Yuji DOGANE – Yukio FUJIMOTO – Atsuhiro ITO – Soichiro MIHARA – Atsushi NISHIJIMA – Jio SHIMIZU – Toshiya TSUNODA – Tetsuya UMEDA – Miki YUI
