Bodies seemingly at rest yet in motion. Deteriorating and persisting in suspended time. Merging as one—only to detach again. Finally finding solace in the unlikeliest of circumstance.

Dancers installed in the space embody a sculpturesque physicality, and shift themselves from one station of solitude to the next. They create distorted forms through minuscule gestural movements and continue the seemingly endless loop inside the cold terrarium of a room.

Madge REYES's (ACC 2018) “Permission To Endure” invites the exploration of a gaze between performer and spectator.

The durational performance is 60 minutes. Audience members are encouraged to move freely throughout the space during the performance. No flash photography.

In parallel there will be on-going screenings of dance shorts and films on ecology and decay as well as a curated selection of books on dance and performance.
