Chung's work is created through tracing entanglements of nature, culture, colonialism, war, state-making, and combining pivotal temporal aspects of mapping. Her art truly explores geopolitics, history, and memory to make shifts in historical narratives.
Tiffany Chung's interdisciplinary practice focuses on a complex framework of social, political, economic, and environmental pocesses entwined with archaeology and ecology. Through hand-drawn or embroidered cartographic works and mixed media, Chung creates a rift among memories and the dominant narrative of the public space. View Chung's upcoming projects at the National Mall of DC and Dallas Museum of Art.
