We are pleased to announce that Mr. Kohei Terada has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) Japan Foundation, effective November 25, 2024.

Mr. Terada is the President and CEO of Warehouse TERRADA (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), a company that operates an art storage business and works with local communities to create communities through art. Its diverse activities include the operation of museums and gallery complexes using warehouse space and the organization of events in cooperation with international art fairs. Additionally, Mr. Terada is deeply committed to supporting emerging artists. He founded the "TERRADA ART AWARD," a contemporary art competition aimed at discovering new talent, and oversees the operation of "WHAT CAFE," a venue dedicated to showcasing and selling works by young artists. Through these initiatives, he continues to foster the growth of artists and contribute to the broader art community.

The ACC Japan Foundation works with ACC headquarters in New York and its regional offices in Asia to provide opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange between Japan, the United States, and other Asian countries. Since 1963, ACC has supported more than 600 individuals traveling from Japan. ACC will further accelerate its activities with the addition of Mr. Terada, who has been instrumental in revitalizing the Japanese art community, to the ACC Japan Foundation.
