In the second encounter of its trans-traditional music laboratory, the Berlin Trickster Orchestra, together with guests from music, science, and society, examine aspects of collectivity and care in musical work processes. Working trans-traditionally presupposes that individuals in the heterogeneous, international ensemble feel safe and comfortable sharing facets of their biographies and musical careers and putting them up for discussion. In order for this trust to develop, the collective needs a high degree of multidirectional sensitivity and solidarity. How can an appreciative encounter at eye level succeed? One in which something new emerges from the diversity of experience, plural forms of knowledge, and multiply entangled subjectivities, without having to give up individual dimensions?
