Past Continuous Tense leaves the audience to connect works from different cultural influences while exploring the importance of today's global themes. Lam rendered ink painting onto 52 planks of plywood and used blowtorch and charcoal to create intricate designs on the wood. Lam's creation of multiple artist historical references provides a captivating interactive experience with history and nature, contemplative and problematic. The forest, created from imagery of the past, invites the audience to relect on our relationship with nature and the relationshipf rom real and virtual.
