Music From Japan is excited to present its Festival 2023, 48th Season, Eighth Artist Residency in New York! Two programs will be featured: COLORS: Contemporary Vocal Works of Japan and Current Sounds Japan III. 

COLORS: Contemporary Vocal Works of Japan: Saturday, March 4 at 7:30pm

Seven inspiring vocal pieces with a lecture prior to the performance at 7pm by the program's curator, Akane Matsudaira. Listen to ACC Alumni Rica Narimoto's (ACC 2011) The Sound of Water from Basho's Haiku. The concert will be followed by an open Q&A. 

Current Sounds Japan III: Sunday, March 5 at 5:00pm

Three dynamic Japanese composers will contribute two pieces, either a US or World Premiere. The concert will be preceded by a lecture at 4:30pm titled "Recent Trends in Japanese Contemporary Music". The concert will be followed by a forum.
