Drinks and light snacks, a silent audition, live music and performances from The Giver and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. 

Washington D.C. | Monday, April 24 | 6-8:30 PM | Edlavitch Jewish Community Center 

 

Cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres, and a performance of If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin

Literature to Life is a performance-based literacy program that presents professionally staged verbatim adaptions of American literary classics. Their misssion is to perform great books that inspire young people to read and become authors of their own lives. 

Their goal is to raise $50,000 in support over these two galas in support of the Wynn Handman Partnership Program which provides free, high-quality arts programming to schools throughout New York City. With the funds, Literature to Life hopes to expand this programming to Washington D.C.
