Erika Kobayashi weaves together the invisible, untold history, personal memories and emotions through a variety of media. Dorene Le Bas, who has Roma* roots, creates multidisciplinary works inspired by the rich history and myths of the Roma people, centering on themes such as life and death, loss and rebirth. Hiraku SUZUKI (ACC 2011) continues to explore the expressive form of drawing, which combines the act of "drawing" (painting/writing) with "excavation," as a way of finding lines in time and space. This group exhibition explores the practices of three artists who, through their respective pursuits of problem awareness, unearth and give form to things that are difficult to see, hidden, or marginalized, and search for their points of contact with the world.
