With artworks that pulsate vibrancy and pieces that resonate ingenuity, style, and mastery, the Asian Cultural Council Philippines and Leon Gallery partner in presenting another exciting fundraising art auction to be held on February 20, 2016.
Up for bid are significant pieces by the country's most sought-after contemporary artists and distinguished visual arts icons such as National Artist Ben Cabrera, Roberto Chabet, Elmer Borlongan, Manny Garibay, among others. The much anticipated auction is for the benefit of the ACC Philippine Fellowship Program instituted in 2000 by the ACC Philippines Foundation, Inc. in alliance with ACC New York.
Aimed at promoting awareness to support international dialogue, understanding and respect while advancing the development of Filipino artists, to date, there are over 300 fellows from the Philippines across artistic fields who have become recipients of grants for cultural exchange programs in the United States and Asia. Among the first ACC Philippines grantees in visual arts include National Artist Jose Joya, Roberto Chabet, and Manuel Rodriguez, Jr.
The fundraising auction on February 20 starts at 2pm with previews on February 13 to 19, 2016 at Leon Gallery, G/F Eurovilla 1, Rufino cor. Legazpi Streets, Legazpi Village Makati City. For more details and catalog access, please visit http://leon-gallery.com.
