Wu Jiaru (Current Grantee) creates the gorgeous très sauvage: Secrets with an Abundance of Foreign Lines through mediums of painting, installations and found objects throughout her fellowship. Wu meticulously unravels the threads that weaves the fast rhythm of New York and dives into the hidden layers of the enigmatic human experience.
With the exhibition in Chinatown, this exhibit reflects a dialogue around identities, constructing an alternative landscape for Hong Kong-based artist Wu to create a body of work influenced by new surroundings.
The exhibition is open on May 25th 6-8pm. Regular exhibit dates and hours are May 26th until June 17th. Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-5pm.
